For our client’s first build it was all about weaving two styles into one home. She loves light and airy, he’s drawn to dark and moody tones, with navy as his signature color. We designed a home that lets both come through without competing. Navy runs throughout in cabinetry and accent paint, while walls for the most part stayed bright and neutral as a backdrop that keeps the home feeling open and light for her. The powder room and home theater got a moody vibe. The exterior finishes are darker tones with mixed materials giving a nod to his aesthetic, grounding the home. The result is a home that feels like both of them and not a compromise.
