Our Studio
My story starts in the late 1990s, when I arrived in the U.S. as a refugee from Bosnia. I found a new home in the Cedar Valley, a place I grew up in and still call home. It’s here that I’ve built a life with my husband Esnad, and our three children: Inaaya, Daniel, and Zayn.
I’ve always been passionate about interior design, but my path into design really started with a personal project: building my first home. That process and the decisions, the detail and watching a house become a home became a genuine passion. One project let to another and that passion became Dream Homes, a construction and design venture built on hands-on values and experience.
As Dream Homes grew, I saw how much clients needed a partner focused purely on design, someone who could guide the vision as closely as the build and with the same expert knowledge. That need became Amina Design Co.
At Amina Design Co., every project starts with your story. We create spaces that are functional, refined and classic at heart, at the same time modern in details, built to last well beyond trends. My background in construction means I don’t just design a space, I understand what it takes to build it. What ends up on paper is exactly what you’ll live in.

I have always admired the beauty of architecture and interior design; it’s what led me to pursue a degree in Interior Design at the University of Northern Iowa. As a designer and drafter, I work closely with clients through every stage of the design process, from custom floor plans to the material selections. I believe a home should be both beautiful and personal, reflecting the way you live and the people within the home. My goal is to create thoughtful, functional spaces that feel distinctly yours.

I've always been drawn to the details of a well-designed space, noticing how materials, scale, and thoughtful design choices come together to shape the way a home feels long before I realized it could become a career. That passion led me to Iowa State University, where I earned my degree in Interior Design. I believe the most memorable homes are thoughtfully considered as a whole, with every space contributing to a cohesive sense of balance and purpose. When every detail is carefully considered, a home feels effortless, refined, and seamlessly cohesive.
