My story begins in the late '90s when I arrived in the U.S. as a refugee from Bosnia, finding a new home in the Cedar Valley, a place I grew up in and still call home. It’s here that I’ve built a life with my husband, Esnad, and our three children: Inaaya, Daniel, and Zayn.

My experience tells a story of passion, dedication, and an evolving journey in the world of design and construction. It all began with a personal project - building a home with my husband. This initial step into the realm of construction and design ignited a deep-seated passion, leading to a series of projects that further fueled my love for design. This consistent enthusiasm in design and construction led to the birth of Dream Homes Construction & Design, a venture that seamlessly blended my love for robust construction with my innate flair for interior design.

As Dream Homes flourished, I saw a growing demand for specialized design services. This insight gave birth to Amina Design Co. The ethos of Amina Design Co. is about crafting spaces that tell a story - your story. Amina Design Co. transcends traditional aesthetics, focusing on curating spaces that are not only functional but also exude beauty and sophistication. Growing up, I constantly found joy in observing the detail of spaces within every environment I came across. As my passion for design grew, I decided I wanted this to be my career. This led me to study at Iowa State University, where I earned my bachelor’s degree in Interior Design. Space plays a significant role in our daily lives, and I am thrilled to bring my passion for space planning and visual uniqueness to help create your dream home.
